I Can Do It

I don't tend to take the dreamy, soft light photos that I think are so beautiful on others' blogs.   I haven't worked with textures because after taking an online Kim Klassen class, I immediately forgot everything I learned.   And you know I get my brain all tangled up when I work in Photoshop.   So I was very happy to hear that I could do textures in PicMonkey.   Yippee for me and probably so many others.

Our dear blogging friend, Nancy Claeys, offers her own textures via subscription.   What a gal, huh?   So I decided to download a couple of those and apply them to my photos.   Easy!!   I'm serious, so easy.   I was quite delighted and plan to try my hand with other photos that I think might be enhanced with a texture.

Here's my first and I think it turned out quite nice.    Thanks again to Nancy because I'm sure she invested a fair amount of her time with creating textures, and she's nice enough to share them with her blogging friends.

If I recall, this texture is named Victoria.   I think it's perfect for my Calla Lily.

It's beautiful....

I have to admit I don't have the patience for photoshop, etc. If I can't do it in picmonkey or leave it raw, it isn't getting done.

Good work!

I don't have the time or patience for that stupid Photoshop program so I have used Picmonkey and iPiccy and BeFunky for many of my photo, lettering and mosaic needs for a long time.

Love this. I need to play around with some of my photos one of these days.
I like it! All that texture, dreamy stuff is great for other people, but I never have been able to get the hang of it. Don't want to take the time to learn, either ... does that sound crotchity? Anyway, I love how other people can make it look. Looks like you are on your way being one of those people.

Everyone's talking about textures these days, but as of now it is still a foreign language to me. Whatever you did to that photo, it's beautiful.

It is beautiful! Looks like a watercolor painting. I have no patience for learning any of the photo shop sites, but would love to learn.
