The Lilac's Confusion

Our temperatures were much too high through October.   My Lilac bush was confused and thought it might be Spring already.    And now we've had our first frost.   Poor confused Lilac.

our red bud tree here is doing the same thing. saw blooms on it yesterday - in november. after it almost died this summer...

We had flowers blooming in October that are summer flowers. Just kind of crazy weather.

We worked outdoors today cleaning up leaves and I noticed a few plants starting to bud as well. We too have had our first frost. Poor confused plants . . .

We have a few bushes doing the same thing, as it's been in the 50s and 60s during the day. A strange year it has been!

My forsythia become confused like that. I consider it a sign of the non-existent climate change. Not that this is really happening, you know. :-)
