Passport to Nowhere

I had a passport for several years and used it for several trips.   Yes, I used to travel for business a lot and had many frequent flyer miles to enjoy vacations too.   Then I stopped traveling and let my passport expire.

I have no idea why, but I have a recurring dream that I find myself either at the airport ready to depart, or already in another country, and I don't have my passport.   It's a dream that's filled with anxiety over finding the passport.   I either have to return home to get it, thereby missing my flight, or I have to somehow deal with the authorities in a foreign country over my missing passport.   Either way, it's stressful and causes fitful sleep.   I hope renewing my passport will take this dream out of my mind.

After the dreaded passport dream,  I woke up too early yesterday, about 4:45, and didn't feel well rested at all.   We went to Cambria and took a rather short stroll.   It was still foggy, it was chilly, and there was a breeze.   I enjoyed walking there, as I always do, but I was just plain tired.   I came home and crawled back into bed for a much needed rest.

I will comb the beach another day in search of more pretty pebbles.

HI Denise I am sure when you renew your passport these dreams will disappear. I love this shot of the cliffs and sea.

Well I do hope the renewed passport takes away that anxiety and the bad dreams.
That photo reminds me of a movie scene ~ beautiful and surreal .

I need to do my passport renewal/update too since we moved. I've just been too lazy to do it.

Rowdy woke me at 3:30 to go outside. I got up then and again at 6:30 and back to bed by 8:00 and slept until 10:30. Just don't do well without the full amount of sleep I need.

It may be worth it to just renew the passport. Our daughter lives in England, so we always have to have a current passport.

Those recurring dreams are freaky... I have one of finding myself in an abandoned house in Roslyn WA (always the same house)... I love beach combing...especially beach glass...

A passport is a sense of security in the event you have to go somewhere fast or you need even greater ID for some reason in this crazy world. Even if you never pull it out, it may give you just the peace of mind you need.
I call that a worry dream...I do it at Christmas, always...dreaming I have not gotten my shopping done..and then at odd times during the year when some big to-do is going on that I need to have something baked for or a speech for my genealogy group. I hope you sleep better tonight!

Dreams like that are very stressful. I have a recurring dream, but one where i'm back in school, it's summertime, but i still have to go to class! Lol. Either that or class starts in 5 minutes and i haven't STARTED that paper yet! I fear these dreams will never go away! I hope getting your passport renewed rids you of your stressful dream..

I wonder if that dream has some deep meaning? I have dreams about tornadoes--I think I am feeling out of control and overwhelmed when I have those.

Nice that you can go back to bed! Wish I could. :(
