Kitchen Progress
Today will be Day Four of the kitchen remodel, still in the demolition phase. Here's what's happened so far.
We set up our temporary kitchen and thought everything would fit, but the measurement for moving the refrigerator into this room was a little off. The refrigerator is sitting in the living room. This will be our pantry with the sink now connected. We will put more white cabinets in here and a tile floor.
The closet on the right is gone

And so, here we are about to begin Day Four. The contractor and his cousin are the nicest guys you could ever want working on your home. There have been no surprises....well, except for the little snake that Chad found yesterday morning sitting on the closet shelf as he was removing it. It must have slithered in with the open doors. SO GLAD he found it and removed it. Right after that, a bird flew in. I asked Chad to stop bringing his friends to the job site.
I'm not sure what's in store for today but it may involved tidying up the electrical that will be changed for the new lighting. It may involve the plumber coming in to start working. I'll know in about 45 minutes, so I better get started with my day.
More to follow!

Our kitchen before demo began was a typical 30-year-old kitchen.
End of Day One
End of Day Two
End of Day Three. The ceiling is gone, open to the roof.

We had a mourning dove come in when we added a family room to the house. It sat in that room cooing--and the cats were going BONKERS!
Funny about the snake and bird - OK, not so funny for you, but when you look back at this experience, maybe it will be.
Praying that everything goes smoothly!
