Timberrrrrr

Two years ago our first October rains came with a fury that we didn't expect.   Standing in the kitchen one evening, we heard a very large crash which we knew couldn't be good.   And it wasn't.   We had two tall pines near the garage.   They apparently had been getting weaker over the years from splitting at the base.   One landed on the garage roof.   The other was leaning precariously in the direction of our water tank.   Inside the garage,  the branch had come through just enough to be leaking onto some boxes.   Thankfully, being on a ranch, we keep lots of tarps which protected items from complete damage.

So the sun came out and so did Bunyon Brothers.   Gotta love those guys who show up within hours to take care of business.

The inspectors are always on duty

Lots of fresh mulch

Last year we also had heavy rains which caused some of us to seek shelter wherever we could.

We are hoping this year has plentiful rain, fewer powerful storms, and sunny days of splashing in the puddles.

Got boots, Chicken Little? I don't remember this incident. Good thing your house didn't get damaged, especially with the renovations you have done. Phew!
Wow! That had to be scary! Love the chickie...
