Winter Chill, California Style

It's all relative, isn't it?   I put on a warmer coat and gloves today when I went to Trader Joe's.   I bought a new box of tea and ate minestrone soup for lunch.   Besides that errand, I won't go anywhere the rest of the day.   Of course the animals will be calling me so doing my small chores goes without saying.    I've had the heat turned on most of the morning,  I have one more blanket on the bed, and I need to wash sweatshirts and pants because I've been wearing them around the house a lot.   And of course, I am getting a lot of use out of my Christmas Uggs.   For those of you in northern and eastern climates, I don't know how you get through the Winters.   I grew up in Iowa so I know cold.   This may not seem cold to many of you, but it is to me.

Oh dear, I need a hot cup of tea, a blanket and my iPad.   And then... *yawn* ....maybe a little nap.   I wonder if "Say Yes to the Dress" is on today.

P.S.  Actually it's in the low 40's but it was MUCH colder this morning.   Too much drama, you think?

It's good to enjoy the coziness of a 'cold' day, even if cold is relative!

i get that way too. grew up in Wis, but quickly acclimated to warmer clime of Texas. now when it gets in the 30s and 40s and it is damp, the chill sinks in...
Oh poor baby! It's single digits here! Ha! Luckily I won't leave the house til probably Saturday. Enjoy your cozy!!

Hey? If you're used to 60's, 40's is cold. I hear ya. Sounds like you had a great day planned though.

Burrr!! And we love Randy from "Say Yes to the Dress," but me and my family will be on his new show to debut this summer, "Randy to the Rescue." We've already filmed for a couple of days and have more filming to do next month. He is genuinely a nice, professional, talented man in his area of expertise. He's helped our family tremendously. I'm glad to see his name in the title of the new show...I'll be the blubbering momma. Augh. I snapped when I saw my daughter in "the" dress. Oh well!!

Stay warm,
Lana

I feel the same way about lower temps, in fact its been mighty cold here the last few days .. we sidestepped some snow last nite but apparently we didnt step far enough to the side since we're due to get it tonite into tomorrow .. gloves, hat, boots, BIG scarf, zip-to-the-neck/snap front thinsulate lined coat and I'd still be cold

No I don't think too much drama, Denise... it's all relative right? We've still got all the snow/ice on the ground this morning... I think I may get out to shoot some photos.
