Fingers Crossed for Wildflowers

Notice my new header photo?   This is from last year.   This hill is visible from outside our back door, maybe 1/2 mile away.   When I go on and on and on about California needing rain in the Winter months, this is just one reason why.   Our incredibly beautiful wildflowers bring color to our hillsides that we can only see in Spring.   And so we wait throughout the brown season.   And we wait through the chillier temperatures of December and January.   Then, if we're lucky and we've had some rain, the hills start to turn green in February.   And if the stars align, the temperatures and rain are as needed, the wildflowers burst and start our shutters to snapping like crazy so we catch them before they leave.

They are magnificent and that is not overstated at all.

Wish  us luck this year as we wait to fill our files with glorious wildflowers.

P.S.   Please let me know if this color text is too hard to read.   I don't want anyone ruining their eyesight or getting frustrated.

Tex says it best . . . "flipping gorgeous!" I think the flower is wild poppy? I can't wait to see your photos of "California Spring."

i like "flipping gorgeous" too.....

and the text is fine, but i'll be honest....the background is hard on my eyes, but i have that same problem when blogs have a black background, too.....so please don't change anything that makes you happy because of my eyes. {it's more that the contrast between the two feel like it could be a migraine trigger for me}

That is a gorgeous header photo that makes me want to visit California again. My wife and I have been out there a few times, but not since 2004.

And for what it's worth, I found your text easy to read in its current color.

All is good, but the sidebar colors, especially the light blue is really hard to read. Old eyes here too.
