The Weekend

We had a nice weekend.   After getting some Saturday morning chores finished, we went to the Farmers Market.   We are fortunate to have a FM several days a week in the surrounding towns.   The big one is in San Luis Obispo and takes place on Thursday evening.   I think we've been to that once.   We usually attend the Saturday morning market, pick up a few things, walk around, and sometimes get hot food that will be enough for the rest of the day.    As you can see by the photos, the market is relatively small with small groups of people.   There is a Saturday morning dog training class in the park, of course on the other side to comply with "keep the dogs away from the food" regulations.   Our small-ish towns around here were built during the time when there was usually a center of town with a park and gazebo for entertainment.   I love having a park in the center of town.   It's so nice as a gathering spot, as opposed to strip malls which are so prevalent in California.

You can see it was a drizzly morning and what the recent little bit of rain has done for our grass:-)

I hope you had a nice weekend in your part of the world.   Here's to a good week!

How wonderful that your FM runs year round... ours are just the warmer months...
What a fun way to spend the day even if it was raining a bit. I love old town squares in the small towns and I wish we had the farmers' markets in our part of the country..they are few and far between around here.

I like these pics, feel like I´m hanging out with you for the day. Our farmer´s markets are so tiny now but I still love making weekly trips re to see what they have. Only bummer here is they are only open summer and fall - Would LOVE to sneak a visit to yours when we come in May. Keep telling Chad if we ever move again we´re heading to a warmer climate.
