Friday's Fences

I have never linked to Friday's Fences but thought this photo applies well, so why not?    We have a small town east of here called Creston.   There are some charming old buildings there as well as a good restaurant called The Loading Chute.   There is also a Watering Hole, as you might expect.   I drove out there today to see what I could find that might capture my camera's eye.

This old building is right on the main street through town.   It's so hard to capture buildings like this and yet keep all the more "modern day" stuff out of the shot.   I did the best I could and I like the photos.  So here is one I am sharing with you.

Enjoy your Friday!

that's a great shot! (and just a warning, once you start with the fences, it's hard to stop!)
Great shot of the fence and the old buildings. I love pictures like this.

I like the composition!
The colors are terrific. The buildings have definitely seen better days but they made for a wonderful subject behind that fence.
Welcome to Fences. :)

Wow -- amazed the structures and the fence are still standing. Must be that good ol' California weather. :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I love your header as well!
I love the neat old buildings. It always makes me wonder who lived there, the family, the children, what was life like in that home? Would they be sad to see the place they called home so dilapidated and run down? I get rather sentimental about such things :) I'm glad you were able to capture the scene on your camera :)
Old buildings and old fences are so charming!
