It's the Lines

Do you find some of your photos just catch your eye and often you're not sure why?   I like this photo of a small building in Creston.   I think I like it because of all the lines.   There are horizontal lines, vertical lines, and lots of squiggly lines from the branches of the tree.   I like the shadows of the branches against the building.   Photos are really meant to please the eye or trigger a memory.   Rather than looking at the composition or editing or other such things, it's nice to just sit and enjoy a photo.   Or sometimes, ask yourself why you like it.

Enjoy your Monday.   I hope you have nice weather and much to smile about.

I like it because it looks like a face...and one of the eyes has a star above it like a cute eyebrow! -)))
great picture ... a reminder that buildings used to be built right on the ground with no foundations ...

THAT's a GREAT shot!!
i love the building and all its lines. kind of a strange looking house, the way the front is so much taller!

...and the star shape on the top right, that just messes with all those horizontal and vertical lines. It's very cool I think.

I like the order amongst the disorder.

This is a very neat old building. Did you notice the little star on the front. Makes for a great picture. It would be really neat in sepia. Have a great week!
