A Sign From Nature

This evening, I saw the first tarantula of the season and now I know that Autumn is coming.   They move to higher ground this time of year to avoid being flooded out in lower ground.   They travel uphill, cross roads, over hill and dale, over yonder until they arrive at their Winter destination....wherever that is.   We have been inundated with Tarantula Hawks recently so I am glad to see survivors.   Go Tarantula, crawl like the wind to your new place and we will see you again next year.

My hubby is working in Nevada/California and he mentioned the tarantula migration was starting. He's deathly afraid of spiders. Any tips for him since this is his first tarantula migration experience? In fact, it's probably the first tarantula experience period!

I must admit . . . I would not want to run ino a Tarantula migration . . . or even just one. I get "the willies" just thinking about it . . .

You have random tarantulas walking around???! EEEK! I'm NOT a spider gal. Blech.

Okay, so I will keep my fingers crossed for this guy....but just as long as he doesn't walk this way...

Good shot, but too creepy!
Happy Halloween???!!!

But what a good picture and I guess as long as you know where they are, they're not a problem until they disappear? :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by my place and saying hi (but wouldn't you know it, your latest post is an image of a tarantula and I immediately cringed. I've never seen one in person, and I am very thankful for that. :-) Photos are more than enough...can you tell I dislike spiders?) I did browse several other posts though and it appears you live in a very beautiful area!

I wonder what it feels like to touch those creatures? It's kinda scary. But, I love critters! Thanks for posting.
