A Peachy Spring
Our peach tree is showing this year's blossoms, much to my delight. Two years ago we planted bare root trees with hopes of enjoying the fruits they bear. Sadly, the gophers seem to have taken out our cherry trees as their roots grew too big for the chicken wire cage we used to protect them. We had some Asian Pears last year and they were delicious, so we have hopes of that tree doing well again this year. We had several peach blossoms last year, but a late storm took a toll on them and we had no juicy fruit. This year, we can see the peach tree doing very well, showing a good start with delightful little blossoms. They spring forth and show us a little more each day. I'm excited about the blossoms and the fruit they will produce. I hope to take photos of them each day, but we have some rain coming in this week so we shall see what happens. Here's a peek.
