Drifting Away

The biggest attraction at Morro Bay this week was not the kite festival, or the peregrine falcons, or the surfers.   It was the sea otters hanging out in the harbor.   They were all wrapped up in kelp to keep from drifting and several had their babies with them.   My 28-300 lens didn't capture all the detail I would have liked, but watching these cute creatures was delightful.    I added a little video clip at the end which I took so you could hear the little baby squeal at the beginning.   A whole lotta cute going on.

They are so cute, but I know the fisherman curse them for stealing their bait (saw that on some fishing show my husband forced me to watch. Lol.)
