189 Days

That's how long it had been since we had any measurable rain.   And then the skies opened, and we all rejoiced.

Well, except for Harry and Gunny.   They were a little shocked and weren't quite sure what to do at first.   In time, they gave up their state of denial and slowly walked into their shelter.

As for me,  falling asleep to the sound of rain after a week of construction noise was heavenly.

Yes!!! I cannot even imagine so long without a cleansing rain. I admit that I do complain about the amount of rain we typically get, but I wouldn't like it if it didn't come. *sigh* Life is never perfect, is it? But, I am so happy and thankful that you're getting the much needed and cooling rains.

Wow, that is way too many days without rain. So glad the rain drops finally fell!
I had wondered whether you got any of the rain that my other California friends were telling me about. I think I would have gone outside and done a little happy dance ... now that I think of it, we don't know that you didn't.
