Not Sure Why

Do you have days where you just find yourself more annoyed than usual?   I had one of those days today.   At the end of the day, I have been going out on the property with the dogs to enjoy the nice weather, blue skies and green grass.   Today, someone is shooting off a .22 or whatever kind of gun that makes a very loud noise.   Not only do I find it annoying, but Zoey won't go outside if she hears gunfire.   They've been shooting for over an hour and soon the sun will set for the day.   It gets under my skin, on my last nerve, and disrupts an otherwise peaceful end to the day.

Earlier this afternoon, I stopped at Trader Joe's for a few groceries.   When I was paying and the clerk was getting my cash, the lady next in line stepped up right next to me and started yammering on about how she paid $2.11/gallon of gas, while she was in the Bay Area yesterday.   WTH?   We weren't talking about that, she completely interrupted us, and she was in my personal space.   Most days, I don't find something like that quite so annoying.   But today?   I didn't say a word, but I sure felt like it.

There were a couple other incidents that irritated me.   Again, I wanted to say more than I did.   I've learned, however, that you don't always have to respond and sometimes you regret that you did.   So I've survived the day and hopefully the neighbor, whoever it is, will put that damn gun away soon.

Tomorrow has to be better.   If not, I will drive to my happy place....the coast.

I hope you have a better day :-) That person talking about the gas - maybe she lives alone and just wanted to talk to someone about anything.

Your coast is spectacular.

You and I are of a like mind. I moved to the country for peace and quiet, but apparently others moved here to be able to shoot all the time, ride their motorcycles, quads and ATVs all over, and make as much noise on their property as they want to. But then I go into town and realize the city has its own set of noise issues -- leaf blowers, lawn mowers, car alarms, etc. But you are right, at least there is always the beach!
Yes, I do understand how you can have those days. I certainly have them. We have the same issue with guns being fired, apparently for target practice. Drives me nuts and it mostly comes from the same area, so likely the same people time after time. Escaping to your happy place sounds like a fine idea at any time.

I had to chuckle at your description of your day...and oh yeah, I definitely do have those days too. Sometimes I'm so irritable that I don't even like myself, and my dogs either try to fix me, or they just eyeball me cautiously from the other side of the room. :) I'm totally proud of you for keeping your mouth shut - a real feat in itself. I'm not always successful with that. Good or bad, there are always joyful moments to be found. Beautiful shots, as usual.

I love your Happy Place . . .
The photos and the thought of being there!
I get annoyed too but have learned that my mouth can sometimes explode with a STING . . .
So I count to ten . . .
The gun thing though . . . not right or safe.

Ugh. I hate neighbors. I have one who smokes outside and the smoke goes into my house. I guess the gun-shootin-idiot tops that though. Good thing the bullets aren't headed in your direction.

Stay safe. Stay positive.

You have guns and here in San Jose we have firecrackers that sound like bombs making our neighborhood sound like a war zone All.Year.Round.
Sammy my cat takes refuge in a dark closet. I, just like you, get annoyed. And my happy place is the coast as well!
Love your surfer photos...
