A Worrisome Moment

This morning I went to the back room to open the door for the dogs.   Zoey was sleeping right in front of the door and normally when I slowly open it, she gets up and moves away.   Not so this morning.   I slid my way into the room and had to pick her up to move her onto her bed.   She didn't move.   I opened the doggie door and left the room again.   Then I started wondering....was something wrong with her?   Or worse, was she dead?   Of course I went back in and she was still sleeping.   I petted her and she woke up, offering her morning sweetness but not leaving her bed.   Geez Zoey, way to give your mom a big worry for nothing.   I guess because she was barking ALL DAY LONG yesterday and into the evening, she needed some extra sleep and dreams.

A while later the sky turned orange.

Our rain is returning today.   But hey, at least it's not ice like so many are dealing with this week.   And of course the inauguration is coming.   I can't watch, I won't watch.   This is the most I've ever worried about a presidency.

There must be something good on Netflix.

Yes, the activities on Friday and the following weekend are dark and sad and make us hope for the best. I truly believe we have elected someone who has serious mental illness that cannot be repaired with therapy. Yet, everyone pretends the "emperor' has clothes.

That was a lovely sky and I am glad to read your dog is not ill.

Gorgeous sky..Hope Zoey is OK..I almost never watch TV anymore except to catch up on the news..I watch Netflix every night..
Glad your dog is OK, animal emergencies are just so stressful. I'm not watching Friday's ceremony either, I have to wait at home all day for a repairperson that day so will have to occupy myself somehow and stay away from the television. This is one train wreck I CAN look away from lol. Seems like the beginning of a crazy time, in the worst sense of the word.
